About to put on my header and I see some white stuff on the head, and a little on the gasket, just wondering if that was some liquid gasket I should line the metal gasket with.

White stuff might be from corrosion of the aluminum. Anyways, no, don't put any stuff on that gasket. It would just burn up. Do observe the torque values specified for your engine when reinstalling the header.
