Im running a stock z6 and the little light on the ac button comes on but it the compressor doesnt kick on, the system holds pressure, there isnt alot but it did have some, i wondering if the compressor has some sort of pressure switch that prevents from working when there isnt enough pressure, anyone have any insight.???? help summers almost here!!!

 

There's not enough pressure for the AC compressor to turn on.

You can go buy one of the those AC bottling kits and hook it up to your AC. Right when their's enough pressure in the lines, WHALA... the compressor will suddenly turn on.

 

okay my car swallowed two cans of the refrigerent. it didnt help, bought a manual but when i opened it up it said that a/c systems are dangerous and should be left to the professionals.
