There are some ITR´s here in Portugal with the S2000 start button on it.
I like it, too.

I wanted to get one back in the day, but my opinion has changed. It's basically a non-useful cosmetic modification, which I choose to classify as rice for simplicity. Granted, OEM rice is much better than normal rice, white rice, or even vanilla rice.

And yes, I'm just breaking his *****, sorry I can't help, I once had installation instructions and even an image of a wiring diagram but don't remember what I did with them.

btw it's still rice . But who says all rice is bad? I think a gauge would look prettier in that location, although permanent modification of the dash is required.

 

I dunno, rice or no rice, that looks pretty money. And besides, we have that blank plastic thing there that serves no purpose without cruise control. I say go for it, adds a nice "touch."


(and yes, I used the word "money" to describe that pic - so sue me, i just watched the movie Swingers last night, so you might catch me describing my R as a "beautiful baby" next... hahaha)

There was absolutely no reason to put it on the S2K, so why put it on any other non-pure track car???

I think its cool. sorry, but there's something fun about have a starter button. I know it imitates old race cars or whatever, but to each his own.

 

Okay dude, two reasons...

1.) There is a person interested in buying my car, would he take the one with the RED button, or the one without?

2.) Chick in the car, you say, "do you want to touch my button" >> etc, etc, etc.....

 

She should have her mouth too full to talk anyway.....

I didn't say it was bad, I didn't say it wasn't pretty. I didn't say that you shouldn't get extreme satisfaction out of pushing it repeatedly to the point of self-gratification. But it is "rice," whatever that may be.

neither are a lot of the **** people put on there cars (clock blockers, shift boots, yada yada). I say do whatever the **** floats your boat. in the words of pat, **** the haters (paraphrased)

if you put it in but dont have it hooked up, thats rice.
if you put it in and it works, its not rice.
