Default Turbo vs. Supercharging vs. N/A

Hey,

I am looking to gain more power and my goals are to run 12's with a full interior and street tires. I figure I would need to use some sort of forced induction as well as good wheels and tires. Should I try a supercharger like a unit from comptech or jr that will be reliable and will yeild decent results, or should I go with a trubo kit such as the kit coming out from greddy. I figure theirs more power potential in the turbo, but do I need a turbo which can be tempermental to acheive 12's.

BTW I have an Si, forgot to add that...

Thanks

I dont think you'll be seeing 12's staying N/A w/full interior & street tires. Personally, i'd go with a turbo. A lot of rsx-s owners see nice results with cybernation+kpro.

Id say go N/A...i know that 12's are highly possible if you do the right thing.

Maybe some Jun stage 3 cams and valve springs. as long as you do it right and change out the internals with some good top of the line products you should be good. and throw in some high compression pistons (12.0:1 or even 15.0:1) Get KPRO to. and kick vtec down to around 4500 or so.

A fully rebuilt strong motor has good possibilities...as long as you do it right.

As long as you get good internals along with bolt ons..youll be fine. Then you can have bragging rights.

high 12's are possible in a N/A car.

But a turbocharger would be alot simpler. just bolt on your turbo and go...its more of what you wanna do and how much time and money your willing to spend.

See time is not an issue. I know that with N/A I will have a much more linear powerband, and therefore an easier car to drive. The advantage to the turbo is the easy power. Need more speed and just up the boost, but boost surges at the wrong time can be annoying. Also, with N/A am I going to spend more money than if I were to attempt forced induction.

Thanks again

There's no arguing that, there's a few people on clubrsx running high 12's all motor. But 12's with full interior and street tires? I dont know about that..

If you want it for daily driving, go supercharged. You cant beat the power band and they are normally pretty good for daily drivers. I still don't see how a built all motor car would be easier to drive then a basic turbo kit on low boost making the same numbers.
