Megan Racing Headers vs. DC Headers?
I am thinking of getting headers for my car to complete my I/E combo. I was wondering which brand will offer the most gains and which do you personally prefer. Megan Racing Headers are only around $160ish but the dc headers are like $350ish. Is there really that big of a difference in quality and preformance?
Oh yeah. I have an 2001 Accord 4dr 4cyl. Family style

No... no difference....
DC is a "big" brand... therefore... they charge you for it!
Megan, isn't that big (at least, hasn't become that big yet)...so the price is lower.
They both will give you the same performance, they should both be 4-2-1 design, and will carry the same size of piping in the header.

Your choices will be limited since there isn't a dirth of offerings for the F23 yet. Even Honda short changed the process...
If you were dealing with the F22bx engine family, you would have had the EX manifold option. In the F23, you don't.
With no other exhaust 'enhancements' you'll probably see no more than 3-8hp gains (and a whole bunch'a more noise).
Short of sampling someone Else's installation of the set I'm interested in, I'd go with the cheaper set. That way; when you get sick and tired of the whole thing and rip them out, you won't be out so much money

Is that long enough to reach the cat or do I have to purchase more parts?

That will end just before your Cat... and I think you should leave it from there....
There's NO NEED to remove or replace your cat for straight pipes, high flow or whatever you wanna call a piece of pipe....
Header alone will make you feel a difference and won't mess with your CEL or gas mileage.!!!

Another thing you guys are failing to mention is the fact that DC Sports has a CARB number (this is for those that live in CA). All other headers that I've heard of are not CARB legal. Not such a big deal to me.........I won't mind swapping back to the OEM manifold right before a smog test and switch back to "Brand X" headers afterwards...

If they are availble for your car get the Comptech headers.. They are slightly more expensive, but are well worth the money. The Megan headers are known to vibrate and drone during highways speeds, they don't fit in very flush.

Not available for the I4.
Oh yeah, a Megan Racing header can be had for $139 shipped. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1396035

The other reason I was thinking Megan Racing Headers is it looks like it has the port for the O2 sensor. I don't think the DC Sports one has that.

The DC header does have a bung for the o2 sensor, you just need an extension for it, which I think they supply with the header.

What other brands are known to create droning? I really HATE droning exhausts. I had one in another car and it drove me crazy. It resonated and droned and made the interior of my car "vibrate"..........

they have o2 bung too.
DC's stuff is very high in quality control, considering they are under AEM now.
but again, you wouldn't feel anything with both header, keep the stock one

is that a common, and proven fact?..because moany people compalin of after market header leaking or vibrating becauze they dont seal right, not knwoing that oyu have to torque them down, drive it awhile, let them warm and cool down a couple times, and retorque them

I have a '95 EX and I just installed my DC header and it has totally evened out my exhaust pulses. My car used to kind of sputter but now that has completely vanished...it might have had to do with the fact that the header and exhaust manifold gasket were 10 years old though. Anyway, I like my DC header and it is great that it is legal!
