abs light is on
where do i start? ive never owned a car with abs. the light only comes on some times. i did notice there is a second brake fluid thing on the passenger side of the bay is that for abs? and its over full. 92 accord ex.
When does the light come on? Before the car even moves? While it's sitting and running? Can you hear the ABS motor running right before it comes on?
Also you can pull the codes pretty easily. Look under the right side of your glovebox area for a two pin connector and a three pin connector clipped into a dummy holder. Take the two pin connetor out and short the wires with a paper clip. Turn the ignition on and count the blinks from the ABS light.
the long blinks are the 10's place and the short blinks are the 1's place so 3 long and 4 short would be code 34.
Post the code here and we can help you more.

it comes on when i start moving only sometimes though its starting to do it more. i dont know about the abs motor like i said ive never had a car with abs so i know nothing about it. checking the abs code is the same as checking for a cel right? ill go do that and get back thanks.
so this morning i go to drive my car and the abs light doesnt come on but when i hit the breaks it feels like a grinding and the pedal barely goes down then it stops and pedal goes down to normal it did it twice then the light came on i decided not to drive the car. what could it be?
you need to jump the connector while the light is on. If it's going away when you cycle the key then you just need to jump the connector with the engine still running. Then you can get the code.
Get it looked at. We had a 1993 Grand Voyager that did the grinding thing as well as the ABS light. Honda ABS systems disable themselves when there's a problem. They're supposed to , and if your light isn't on when the grinding happens and vice versa, that's not working correctly. In our van we had barely enough braking power to hold it against the automatic transmission's 2 mph creep. It's unsafe.

yea the fluid was over full but i fixed that. the light never comes on now i just get a weird noise from under the glove box and when it makes that noise the brakes feel crazy.
