Realtime R spring rates?
Does anyone remember what the spring rates they are running are?
I want to buy some GC but I am wondering on what spring rate, any recommendations?
I will be using Koni Yellows...

you do not want to run RTR's springs rates on the street. it's something like 800F/ 1200R
They might be runnng something a little softer now since they race on street tyres now though.

Spring rates alone do not cause a car to understeer or oversteer necessarily. You need to take into account the swaybars, shock dampening and alignment.
I run 600lb front and 900lb rear springs, with a stock front bar and 26mm rear bar, Mugen N1 shocks (same as Realtime), and a well set alignment. The car is pretty damn neutral.

-Dave, who will have 10 or so different pairs of different rate springs for the Nissan.

Maximum streetable is about 400F/600R with 26mm rear bar, which is about half of the Realtime rates (800/1200). They ran a huge rear bar.
Any higher and you need to go with a short stroke damper like the Mugen N1s. Short stroke dampers and high spring rates do not mix well with street driving (poor road surfaces). You will just end up burning out the seals in the dampers, necessitating expensive re-builds of the dampers.

I too, like BPR, am running 400F/600R. It seems like the limit for what I would run on the street and with out of the box dampers. I personally went with Bilteins due to their self adjustability, and the fact that the Konis for the R had to be removed in order to be adjusted.
I will be in the market for a 26mm Rear Mugen Bar at the end of this summer and I think that the car will be setup rather well with the correct alignment specs. Good luck to you and hope everyones responses helped
Another one to the GC/Bilstein or Koni club

cosidering what most the replies have been from people with cars, mostly for track, I think I will stick with the standard spring rates which I was told are 300F 400R, unless they are not, does anyone what they are for GC?
I don't really want the ride to be really stiff, this is my daily driver, but I want to make it more fun at the races.
I don't need to get first place just want a good run.
I appreciate everyones responses

300/400 is not the normal GC spring rate for their kit. If you want to do a custom rate like that, you should call up GC and ask for the kit that only drops 1" and has your spring rates. I suggest 350/400. Or maybe 325F/375R

keep in mind that race teams bring multiple spring sets to a track. The spring rates you would want to run on high speed corners are diff than low speed etc. They tune all the time to find the best COMPROMISE and that exta .1sec
