are you trying to clear the maintance lite???
if so,, push down the reset button , put key on, hold the button down for around 15 seconds, lite will flash 2 times , , start car up maint lite should be off,,

The owner's manual should have the proceedure. If you don't have one, I suggest you get one. If you have one, I suggest you read it sometime.

It's the same button that resets the trip meter. (in dash) Hold the button down (with left hand), turn the key on (with right hand) (no start) keep holding till light goes out.
