Timing balance belt pully
Alright for those that dont know what this is its #3 in this image
http://www.hondaautomotivepart...AINER
Mine is toasted and causing some wicked knocking. Seems there is a lube needed when you install and I did not have this lube. The lube is called : Molybdenum Disulfide
So when I did a full gasket replacement during my timing belt replacement. I replaced the gasket behind this and did not know it needed lube. OPPS
Does anyone know where I can get one out side of the junk yard? and where I might be able to get this lube?
Thanks

# 3 in the picture looks like to be the oil pump,,,,,,,,,No lube needed to install it ,
,the gasket behing it. all i do when i replace it , is put a bit of grease to keep it in place ,,,al the gasket does is prevent oil leak ,, if the noise is from # 3 you need a new oil pump , but i have never seen it happen before ,,
Are you sure the noise if from # 3 ?? do you have everything properly installed and tight ?? who told you that you need this special lube ??
I have done planty of t-belts and i have never used any special lube to complete the job and never had any issues ..

Oil pump is #1 & #20 that drive the internal oil pump #9, #13, & #12 and that is internal not external. This is not a Toyota. #3 on a Toyota would be the oil pump. But on a Honda F22A series motor its a Timing Balancer Belt pully held in by #5 with three 10mm bolts.
The drive it spun by the belt, in turn it spins and internal gear which is alligned with another internal gear which drives the rear balancer shaft leading towards the oil filter.
Oh and as for the lube specs, its per the Manual to lube the gear drives in there.
