Ok I Need Help Quick...I'm a Dumbass - Brake Line Related
ok i'm a dumbass...i'm installin front springs yesterday..keep in mind this is my first time doin it alone w/o airtools or a lift, and my second time doin suspension...and i'm almost done, but the ****** line up of how the brake hose should be bolted left me clueless...they bolted up fine on the drivers side, but the passenger side is leavin my confuzzled...i can bolted up, but there is not enough clearance for the hose to clear the bracket when the suspension is in compression and rebound.
so i was tryin to figure that **** out for a good portion of the day, and i didnt even get the backs done.
somehow the way the passengers side strut lines up in the fork doesnt match the drivers side
anyway, guys i've got a few pics that i managed to snap since it was gettin dark
the drivers side...(the good side)

the passengers side...the confusing side
in this first pic, the brake hose is like an inch away from touchin that bracket...

DOH (dbl DOH) just looked closer at your pictures and it has the line for it. You just mounted it wrong. Change the hard to soft line bolt (first bolt) to the bracket towards the front of the car and not the rear. Its there you just hooked on to the wrong one.
You can see it in this picture:

Try twisting your pass. side strut 180. Looks to me you got the pass. side (left side) one backwards. From my images of break systems the main line should have the first bolt pass side (left side) toward the front of the car not the rear. The second bolt should be towards the rear. Kind of like how your driver side (right side) is set up.
hard line - rubber line start - first bolt towards front of car - second bolt towards rear of car - calip. bolt.

i tried turnin the strut already but the bracket that sticks out, begins to have clearance probs with the arm...
what i'm gettin from ur post is that i should mve the rubber mount on the line to that bracket where the line is almost touchin the bracket in the picture u posted, and then move the hard to soft line bolt to the other bracket...
great! that sounds like it'd work out fine...these damn SS liners are so hard to maneuver
i'll let u know how it works out

If you look close at the picture on the left side of the strut in view there is the bracket to put the like with the bolt running towards the engine (fist bolt on break like where rubber meets up with the steal line).
So basicly you have your break line run backwards. You have it running from rear to front then to calip. over front to rear then to caliper.
BTW I made this goof up the first time I did mine also. Ran the break line backwards. I had to pull the strut from the lower part and run the line threw there due to I had it behind. Another way is to remove the calip and wrap it around to the line runs from front to back on the outside of the strut instead of the inside.
