Default Clutch Master Cylinder Leak?

I am trying to figure out why all of the sudden I lost pressure on my clutch pedal. I came outside this morning and saw an oil stain on the passenger side of the car and was looking for a leak which I have not found yet. I looked at the slave cylinder and noticed it look a little wet but I had a small oil leak from un unrelated problem so am thinking it might be residue from that.

When inspecting the clutch master cylinder, around the boot on the inside I noticed it looks a little wet. The resevoir is completely dry so I am assuming there is a leak somewhere. My question is, should the boot around the CMC be completly dry or could it be a little wet due to lubricant possibly on the plunger? If the resevoir was completly dry, wouldn't it have leaked all into the driver side foot area?

Thanks!

You are correct, you've got a leak.
The failure rate works like this:
Master Cylinder: 80%
Slave Cylinder: 15%
Other: 05%

Refill the reservoir with Dot4 and bleed the system
grab a can of Brake Cleaner/Contact Cleaner

and Clean the S...t of the areas around both the Clutch Master Cylinder and the slave cylinder. This stuff will clean it and dry without a residue, so the leak should show up real quick.

If on the other hand, you have (indeed) found fluid leaking from the M/C (under the dash), You've got a bad one, so forgo the previous proceedure.

Thanks for the help everyone. Found out that it was both the Slave and Master Cylinder. Thanks again!

Wow, double trouble. That's a rarity.
Well, glad to hear you got it addressed.
