Farewell to ITR #547
Over 3,800 days have passed during my ownership of three 3rd Gen Integras. November 11 of 1995 was when I drove my first Integra home. Today I said farewell to my third and undoubtedly favorite car of all time. It's been 6 years and over 95,000 enthusiastic miles and the R never skipped a beat. It always started and never had any mechanical problems.
The car is now on its way to a new owner on the east coast.
Much of my enjoyment of owning this car has come from friendships created through Honda-Tech. There is always somewhere here to lend a hand or provide advice. Hope you guys keep this message board alive for many more years.
See you guys at Expo 6 - hopefully bringing you even better aerial shots this year. I’m looking forward to hanging out with the gang once again. Here are a few pictures of the departure.

After thousands of pictures of her, this is the last one.

The car is going to Boston Massachusetts. Now that I own an Evo I no longer need an additional car. It does not make sense to pay upkeep and insurance on the Integra since I would not drive it often.
The Evo is MUCH cheaper to insure. I'm only paying $340 per six months to insure the Evo, while the Type R is $500 for the same duration. And the Evo is recorded as my daily driver too.
I sold the car for $16,900.
Fortunately my brother still has his S2K as a second car which I maintain. If I ever need to fill the craving for high revving NA power that will do the job. I'll miss the R though!
