F22A1 Accord: TONS of Air comming out of PCV valve! Normal? Bad rings? Bad valve Seats?
Hey everyone. Just got done finishin up my head swap due to cam bearing failure on old head. The head is on the car is running fine. engine feel a bit rough though. i don't think i aligned the balance shaft belts to the right mark. My main concern is this. I opened the oil filler hole to make sure oil was getting to the head(it was) making sure my last failure was not oil pump related(i slacked on my oil change). I noticed a TON of air Coming out of the head, i always thought that you only get the air coming out when the rings get blowby? I think i'm just misunderstanding something here. I just want to make sure it's not the block that is bad and it's the head problem. I'm not too worried if it's just the head cause it only has to hold me over till I finish gathering parts for my Hybrid F22/H22 head. The engine has 140,000 on it and the head has 275,000 miles(I know but it's all the yard had)
Thanks

It is normal for a valve cover to release the gases...PCV= positive crank ventalation. Your best bet just to be on the safe side is do a vaumme and leakdown test.
make sure you do a compression test then you will know what the deal is..........
I'll get right on that. I'll go do the compression test now and post numbers when i get back inside. plus i gotta fix my broken coolant temp sensor connector(don't ya just love workin on 15 year old cars?) since it cracked mysteriously last night while driving home.
