Did you ask him if maybe it has just been repainted for some reason that he knew of? Maybe the previous owner didn't tell him about it.

o/t engaged = sell car?! Screw that I'm engaged and not selling my cars, neither is an R but still.

EDIT: I assume you're talking about the part in the bumper that's supposed to be black not painted right?

behind the plate is a long black/unpainted bit. Seems to be CW on the ebay car.

wow... good eyes, guys... i wouldn't have caught it at first glance. however, i still believe this specimen of an R has been taken care of pretty well. look at the seller's attention to detail... at the same time, you gotta look at it in person to really make a judgement call. i saw the same car online... i think it's a good find!

 

It's a repaint- that part does not come out of the bumper.

 

i could tell the color was off, but good eye on the "grille part" definately not OEM.

 

yeah im gonna pass, it is clean but that worries me and I can get an S2K for that price

 

A repainted rear bumper worries you? Ask him if the rear bumper still has the VIN sticker on there.
