Default OBDII B16A2 into ED3??? (EDM Civic 4 door)

Greetings all.

A friend of mine just purchased a B16A2 swap (OBDII) from an EDM Civic VTi (EK), and plans to swap it into his 88-91 EDM Civic Sedan (ED3 chassis). The engine is a stock D15B2 (16v SOHC pgm-fi). Unfortunetly I don't remember if the ECU is OBD0 or OBDI.

I've been doing alot of searching but I can't find any solid answers about an OBDII engine in a EF/ED chassis. I searched most Swap FAQ's on H-T but most concern the EG or EK chassis. An external link I found in a FAQ thread states it's best for a B series of the same era but doesn't specify that an OBDII B16A2 can't be used.

http://b16a.honda-perf.org/prelim.html

a) is it possible to do the swap?
b) is there a harness conversion?
c) can OEM mounts be used? or will he need Hasport/aftermarket mounts?
d) what will he need for axles?
d) please note any helpful links or concerns/hints/know-how

Much Appreciated.

p.s. Forgive me if this has been covered, I searched extensively. Please PM me the link and ask the Mod to del this post if already covered in this much detail.

Thanks for your time.

H-T ftw!

you friend's car is obd0..88-91 obd0..

And you have a D15b2 with mpfi.? I never knew they existed and never knew you guys over there got d15b2..I though you got D15b carbed,d16a8,9,and b16a1 engines..Maybe Im wrong though..

A) Yes,been done lots of times..
B) I know of the obd0-obd1 conversion harness..Not sure about obd2..Checkout rywire.com for that,they can make anything..
C) Oem mounts can be use if you're good with cutting and welding,,But its easier to buy an aftermarket kit,,be sure to get one thats made for the hydro tranny..
D) For axles he can use the Ek b16a2 Vti axles,,pretty sure any b-series hydro axles will work..Not sure about cars over there though..And you have to remove the dust shields from inside the hub..
E) I would sell the obd2 ecu and find an obd1 ecu..And all you have to do to the engine is eliminate the cranksensor and consider it obd1..You dont have to change the dizzy ..

that about sums it up
if i were you i would wire it obd1 also
and since you are over there you probaly could get oem mounts that will work just go to a dealer and get mounts for an sir but hasport would be your best bet imo...
