b16a2 swap question
Can I do a b16a2 swap in a 96 civic ek without the mounts and engine harness? Can I just use my engine harness out of my civic?

NO and Maybe. if you are asking these types of questions you have ALOT of learning and searching around to do. i suggest you do that before you buya swap and especially before you try to put it in. dont be led on by all thses people who do it with success, its a big job.

I agree. OP, you will also see some people here refer that a B-Series engine just "drops into" a 92-00 Civic. I think when people generally say that the B-Series engines will just drop in, they mean for the ease of fitting the engine into the Bay. As aftermarket and/or a mix of OEM mounts will work to get the B-Series into the bay. However, don't forget that there is wiring to be done and other variables that can come into play depending on which engine you put in.

Re: b16a2 swap question
I just did that, you can re-use your original harness if your car is a ex to begin with, I believe all you have to do is lengthen the front 02 sensor cause the original 02 sensor in your ex engine is up front and the B engine one is on the bottom in front of the Cat. They sell it on ebay, plug and play if you dont want to hack into your wire harness, search 02 sensor extension wire. its like $20 shipped. You will need a 99-00 civic rear T bracket and you might need a new drivers side engine bracket. I believe that is about it. oh, you will need a P54 ac bracket if you want to keep your ac, and a P54 Pwr steering pump bracket along with a obd2 pwr steering B series pump. I believe that is it.
