VTEC HELP PLEASE!!!!!
I drive a white civic cx hatchback with the B16A2 swap. well the problem i am having is this, The VTEC doesnt work the way it should(automatically) so its been rigged to a toggle switch. i would prefer not having it that way, but i guess being able to turn it on when i want is better for it then not at all. im pretty sure that either way eventually it will cause damage to the motor, so i would like to get it fixed ASAP, so if anyone on here can help out and tell me what the problem would/could be and how to fix it please do.
thanks everyone!

haha... I don't know why they would do it that way. If what you say is true the would have to be tapping into the vtec wiring to make this so. Follow the wiring on the toggle switch, cut out the switch, and fix the connections. Does it throw a CEL when the "vtec switch" is off? This seems rather odd.
locloud- yes, i bought the car this way.
btleier- I checkd how they have it wired, all wires are connected still, they just spliced in a speaker wire for the switch to work. and the CEL has been on sence i bought the car as well, but thats probably due to no cat, and because of the v tec issue.
