If someone can help me out. I have a 90 teg with b18a...its got 274k on it. The engine runs great, but now i am having a problem. The car has a small powerloss at 3k? It feels like vtec change over. It sounds like low cam lobe to high cam lobe. Can any one help me out on this???

 

274k? Holy **** that's a lot o miles. I'm cross eyed here...so at 3k it feels like the opposite of vtec? As in you lose power? But the motor sounds louder or what?

 

My car has 274 kilometers...my car feels like i have a lost a power at 3k? And after 3.2k rpm its over. The engine goes low for a quick second and then back to a normal sound??? Does anyone know what this my be???

what are ur mods?
might be running really rich at that rpm hence the power drop.
an afc can cure this and some dyno time with a wideband o2 sensor.

i have no mods to my car...its complete stock. I just don't know what it could be. Maybe i'm losing compression. I wonder if my it could my timing on my car???
