Racing seat bracket install - Do these look safe? *3 pics*
I'm thinking about buying some ronin seats off a guy on a local board. He says he's only used then for a couple weeks and the price is pretty decent and would save me a couple hundred bucks from buying the seats and brackets separate. I've never had any after market seats before and I'm not sure how the bracket install should look and what needs to be done to make them as safe as stock.
Heres the pics.. if you can vouch for them looking like they were properly installed let me know.. thanks.

I can get those brand new from Yonaka. I have a direct account. Just let me know if you want a price. They're inexpensive seats.
They look alright to me. Just looks like he welded it himself, thats all. If he knew what he was doing, there shouldn't be an issue.
If you do buy them, I would take the seats, brace them against something, and kick the seat belt mount as hard as you can from any angle. If it breaks, you may have just saved your life. If it doesn't, you should be alright.

I know this post is way old but how do the seats mount to the brackets i just got a seat and a similar styled bracket like yours...my brackets for my 00 civic look like this...very similar to yours just would like to know how that is bolted on or whatever i have no experience with this
The welds look fine, and the material is 2-3 times thicker than where the stock ones mount. Take a hammer to it a little bit to "test" it
It looks like the bolt that holds the latch on is threaded into the bracket. Is there a nut on the other side of the bolt? If not, I'd add a locking nut there just for extra insurance.
