USPS parcel post is really cheap to ship items. If you ship them seperate, i don't think it will cost me much.
edit... or UPS ground.

Dim. Each 24x24x36
Value $500 ea insured.
4 Day Delivery = $194

Pack them well, and ship FedEx Home Delivery (Ground).
You should be able to throw the box off a 48" (4ft) drop and have the inside stuff survive. The FedEx handling machines move in excess of 60mph and "punch" the boxes for sorting. Trucks are 48" off the ground, step vans are 24", and the guys are prone to dropping the boxes off the back.

btw... that is the same way i received my seats. they were just shrink wrapped from OK to WA via DHL and nothing was damaged, not so much as a scratch. seriously, UPS is good about taking care of your shipments. I send at least 100 packages per month with them and have never had any problems.
Buy a roll of shrink wrap, it's like $10 and wrap the seats very well with it, then hit it up with a heat gun and shrink it. After that cut up some boxes and tape the card board over all the edges that could be damaged. I also used packing bubbles under the card board for extra cusion.

I'm telling you dude, shrink wrap those things. You will not find a box big enough for seats. And if and when you do find one big wnough for seats you will end up paying $300 - 400 to ship them. If you shrink wrap them they are still fully protected and you will pay less than half of what it would cost for you to ship them with a box.
I really dopnt care... you do what you want to do, but I am telling you from personal experience with it. Trust me, it will save you **** load of $$. But hey if you want to pay more, be my guest.

i've had sellers send me seats that were "wrapped" in cardboard. they couldnt find boxes big enough, but you can find bits pieces that you can cut up and wrap them in then shrinkwrap and tape tight. shrinkwrap alone sounds too scary, as seats can get poked or cut by other sharp objects while in transit, and the hassle of getting compensated and losing the seats is not worth the risk. just bind the seats together in a "69" position and you should be good to go

but it shouldnt run $600. you can ship a car half way cross country for ~$600.

You should check with Greyhound, you can ship item on their bus line.
The bad thing is that you and the buyer will have to go to the Greyhound dtatin to drop off and pick up the item.
But it's really Cheap to ship through Greyhound.
