Recommend me a Welding AutoDark helmet. Price Budget $250.
Hey,
I really need suggestions on what to really buy for its money. Cheaper the better, yet the most for its money. Sub $250-$150.
I need thing to do exhaust, downpipe, manifold, intercooler, etc work. The usual.
What helmet do you guys suggest me to get, since I am completely clueless on what to look for.
I just got my Sync200 and maybe some advices, on little accessories/tools to get to get this bad boy on its feet?
Jackson/Hobart/Miller? Models? Reasons?
I got so much to ask but, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny

Speedglas I got the 9000x for $150 off ebay. I would highly recomend one. Variable shades 9-13, sensitivity adjustment...it works great and havent had any probems with it.
i have a speedglas 90002x and its great its kinda pricey, i bought man for 350 a piece, i have two of them. I am willing to sell one for around 250
. I also hear good things about the Miller BWE however, i have heard about some people getting flashed occassionally when out of position welding.

I have a Jackson helmet. It's not one of those "larger lense ones". It's a Journeyman EQC. It's battery powered. I bought it for ~$150 locally about a year ago. It works great. I've never gotten flashed, not even in dark areas. It still has the original batteries too. The window size is fine too, I see everything perfectly.
If I ever upgrade, I'd either get a Jackson NexGen, it's around $260 on ebay.

Yea, Im thinking about picking this baby up.
Most likely on ebay from IOC also, since they do look like they got decent pricings.

I bought a random one on ebay for $32. It's been working fine for a year now.
My buddy specializes in welding helmets. He said cheap or expensive, they're all basically the same thing. The only difference is that the expensive ones have nice adjustable straps, whereas the cheapo's have horrible, horrible adjustment straps.
But still, for thirty bucks, I'll deal with the hair-pulling.
EDIT:
Lol, mine looks like this. It's going for a penny

LOL. Sounds like a deal for a Penny. Haha.
Yea, I notice most Helmet cheap or expensive, they all works the same? Specifications on them looks similar. Other then the Fancy Digital and Non, and compared to the straps and the airbrush paintings on them. -=P Ive heard mix results from either cheap or expensive helmet. They all have its ups and down, its just the fact one has better warranty service then others? Or who knows. -=P
Anyone got any other inputs?

Well mine works fine. Same features - solar powered, adjustable sensitivity and adjustable darkness.
After all, it's not some kind of fancy new technology. It's like 1985 solar calculator technology. They probably make them in china for a penny. But yeah, the strap on mine sucks. It won't get as tight as I want it. The adjustment **** just starts to freely spin when I twist it too far.
