Default Over-Drag Radial'd? Crappy times at the track. any other ideas? plug help.

Hey guys. I have a SOHC turbo and my best time this season is 13.60 @ 105 MPH on 195/50/15 street tires with a 2.4 60 foot. I dyno'd my car at 185 WHP / 175 TQ. I bought some 14 inch drag radials (215/60/14) and put them on my del sol si wheels. i noticed they were kinda heavy, but didnt think anything of it.

my best tonight was 14.0 @ 96 MPH with a 2.1 60 foot. i was happy with the 60 foot, but where did the rest of my MPH go? almost 10 MPH? I noticed the car felt sluggish in 3rd gear.

i switched my street tires back on and the car felt like it should, pulled alot more up top.

I think my drag radials are too big, or/and im not making enough power.

ALSO:
I changed my plugs the hour before the race. I put in a step colder NGK plugs. Would that have made a difference?

those are some great times for the power you are making. How much weight reduction do you have and in what chassis.

Hi pearl: You should be on a 22" tall tire, the 24" is to tall for the HP you have.

I have the same 215/60/14 bfg's. I love them. They are 24.1 inches tall so im still in 4th at the end of the 1/4 I don't think it would kill 10 mph off the 1/4 mile though. I ran my best mph on the drags

maybe you guys are right. i just came back from a night of a little boost and heard some strange noises from my car; sounded like a rod knock/piston slap. didnt notice it at all at the track tho...
