i was just wondering how much time people actually lowered from their quarter mile times form switching from street tires to slicks???????

 

i lost 2.1 seconds

12.2@130 with 205/50/15 es100's
10.1@138 with 25" slicks

 

4 years ago i ran a 14.2@97 with 205/50/15
and the next week i ran a 13.5@99 with 20"slicks

14.4 to a 13.0 in a N2O SOHC
13.7 to a 12.9 B16 EF
wouldnt even try to run currnet car on street tires. but i'd get a hell of a trap

 

11.9 on 225 BFG's
10.7 on 24.5 M n H's

When i was on the drag radials i was at the best prepped track i have ever been at. It was the day after i got my car tuned and i decided to stay up and take it down the track cuz i had never been there and it is a very cool track. Race directly at a nuclear power plant. But it was a gambler weekend and there were 250+ tubbed cars with an average tire width i would say of 14in. I was so mad i didnt have my slicks.

11.9 on 22" MT slicks
just bought some 23" slicks...hoping to go 11.7's
