Blue smoke from a stop!!!!!! WHAT COULD IT BE?????

Default Blue smoke from a stop!!!!!! WHAT COULD IT BE?????

Most of the time when i sit at a red light the car will smoke BLUE when i accelerate!! The car runs great though -.-

What could it be guys????? plzz help..

88 civic sedan

it only has 124k miles but probably 85-90 percent is city miles, lots of stop and go + hills

everything is basically original except the starter and radiator

try a tune up.. maybe different oil. Mine had smoked blue oil when my valves were out of spec. i readjusted them and no more smoke.

but honestly, i would search "blue smoke" and see what you can find.

does it take long to adjust valves???

if i pop off the valve cover would i be able to tell what the problem is?

no not off the bat like that but if you get your valves adjusted that should work out the problem....if not then it's somthing worse like your rings are bad which just plain flat out sucks good luck though

also try thicker oil. solved my blue smoke problem on my 80 cvcc civic
