My Ls/vtec build...I need help on parts list to get.
Yes i searched but havent found what i needed.
car is a crx hf
I have a 82mm bored and honed ls block w/ b16 head on top.
I will be using arp rod bolts and headbolts.
Parts im ordering so far
1. 82 mm GE ls/vtec kit
2. Gsr/ type r oil pump
3. Gsr timeing belt kit
4. b18 ls bottom end gasket kit
5. B16 head gasket kit
6. Arp rod bolts
7. Arp head studs
?Questions?
What bearings do i use? Rod bearings and thrust bearings. Maybe it should be what size?
I know for the arp rod bolts i have to resize the stock rods. Wha about the headbolts and which one do i buy? Do i buy the one that is made for the GSR vtec head or the one made for the stock ls w/ stock ls head?
Im switching my car from obd0 to obd1. Can i still use my obd0 alternator and starter? or do i have to buy one that is for the obd1 model.
For my jumper conversion it came with the 4 extended wires but no plugs for them. What are the plugs that i need? parts # and such or from what car i can them from?
Since i have the ls block, i have no knock sensor. Would i just have to program my ecu to not search for knock sensor or do i have to drill it to fit somewhere and where at?
ANyone has exp w/ the ctr crank pulley? i have no power steering and ac so i was going to buy it.

6. Arp rod bolts

8. knock sensor----gsr or delsol you will have to tap to install
9. also want to use water pump from a vtec any will do. water will not flow fast enough and car will run warm.
10. catch can you want to tap the back of your block and install a catch can with a pcv vavle in in, since doing an lsvtec deletes the stock pcv sysytem
11. atleast 310cc injectors. with stock b16 you will run lean once vtec kiks in. the 310 will give you adequet gas in the higher rmps where it is neaded most.
12. some kind of fuel managment. ie hondata chrome uber ecus or a vafc controller. i would suggest that you go with a tunable chipped ecu makes it easier and if you are doin this project you will want more later. you already want more.
13. fuel pressure regulater to go with the last 2
