Do I need a valve adjustment ??

Okk i got my new jg camshaft, and the lobes are of course bigger than stock, all i thought i had to do was take my old one out lube up the new one align everything and i was good to go, but homie told me that my stock settings for valves will not close all the way, is this true i dont kno how to adjust the valves damn i dont wanna go to a shop
I think you may need to, but maybe not because the distance between the the bottom of the lobe and the shaft may be the same.

It's really not that hard as long as you remove the spark plugs and rotate the engine precisely. Do a search on valve adjust in archived content.
