hey all my buddy just bought this riced out hatchback that we are tryin to de-rice. cus its ****** baby blue and u just can roll in a baby blue hatch naw mean? its a 91 dx hatch back and when we got it had a vafc airflow controler and the guy cut the wires to it and now it runs like **** you have to have the gas just rite or it will bog and studder like if you were first learnin how to drive a stick well the guy said if you hook back up the vafc it will run fine cus the ecu was set for more fuel and air and since they cut the wires to it it run like pooh now. any ways if we just got a new ecu would that fix the problem cus this ecu is set for more fuel and air and its constily suckin more fuel and air than it should. any help would be nice.

just hook the vafc back up...ur problem has nothing to do with ur ecu...a vafc can not edit ur computer, it can only override the settings...so when u take the vafc off the computer still has the same settings as before u connected the vafc....so if the car was tuned with the vafc obviously its not going work well without it right?

 

yea well we would hook it back up but the dumbass fuckd the wires up so know we need to buy a new vafc. but could the studderin and all that come from the vafc not being hooked up? also we think that he fried the ecu cus in are manul we have it says that you must have the key in the off position or out while unhookin the battery or it could cause damage to the ecu. could this be the case cus he did what i just explain like 6-7 times.

 

show me a pic...i cant see how u can expletive up the wires so bad the vafc is not usable....

well he did a hack job and messed up one of the plugs. no pictures dont have camera. but its a d15b7 motor with intake exhaust and header. its a 4 spd

 

those are pretty basic mods...u dont even need a vafc...what you can do is completely remove all the vafc wiring and return it to stock.

 

yes i know that we dont need a vafc it can with the car when we bought it. so just remove it its already disconneted and it still has the same problem.
