Is the JDM d15 worth buying at all?
Ok so ive been very pissed at my daily , it just keeps messing up, so i was thinking of getting ones of these d15b's from HMO. but i searched around about them but didnt find if they blow head gaskets like the normal d15's. I will be running it on daily boost at like 5-6 psi, got a full d series kit here but i dont wanna put it on the motor if its gonna pop gaskets and just be a bad motor in general.
Anyone got any oppinions on the jdm d15b i would like that. Thanks.

I am also planning on boosting my d15b, the full swap happens in 2 weeks for me.
I saved some serious coin on the motor itself, only paid $800CDN but that included rebuilt axles. In the savings of the motor I have put away some for the turbo setup.
Although its the easy way out, Edelbrock makes a fairly trusted kit for this motor.

yeah I want a d15b there cheap and I just bought this vtec controller brand new and I dont think I am even going to use it. sucks for me I think I am selling it. well how good are the d15b anyways are they even fast or would I say do they even go anywhere for a 1.5 liter
I run a D15B from HMO and had to replace the head gasket after about 2 track weekends. I think its luck of the draw depending on how the motor was driven. When replacing the timing belt use the 92-95 vx part, the D16Z6 part are too long. When ordering the engine ask if they had any that cam off of a automatic engine those usally aren't driven as hard.
