New timming/Balence belt SOUNDS of LOUD
hey dudes and dudets
i just got my timing belt and the whole shabang changed
and when i drove my car off my Mech's lot i noticd a loud belt noise, happend when i accelerated,
when i idle, when i do anything basicly except put it in neurtal.
i call my mech and he said that it was the belt either streching out or slowly adjusting,
he said not to worry and that the noise will stop as soon as the belt is fit right.
he said 1-3 weeks
SOOOOOOOOOOO---- am i supposed to drive around with this RC car noise, or is there anything i can do, or does this sound like bulloni to anyone?
REP AND REPEAL

what do u mean by a belt noise? screeching or like a whining sound? i'm sure whatever he did he screwed up, these things dont take time to "adjust" or "fit right"
Was it just the timing belt changed, or was there a lot more swapped out/fixed in "the whole shebang"?
The noise is NOT normal. It may be one of the pulleys were not tightened on correctly and are a bit out of place, causing a belt rub.

thats is what it is.
get some belt dressing and spray on them or tighten the belts a little more

maybe im misunderstanding you on this...RC cars dont make a "high pitched squealing noise", at least the ones ive seen but I think what you have is just a loose belt...since the timing belt tensioner on your motor should be a hydraulic tensioner which doesnt require or allow manual adjustment...its prolly the accesory belts
