Default code 43...fuel system help....

Hey, I just now started getting a code 43 on my stock ej2 and was wondering what all it could be. The code 43 says fuel supply system. Also, my car boggs from time to time in 2nd gear at around the 3500 RPM level and then I just continue to give more throttle untl the RPM goes up. Could this be caused by that code 43, anything else that could be the cause of this?

TIA!

I'm gonna go with either fuel pump or gas cap.

same here...it could be that your fuel pump is wearing down hence the bogging...when I've gotten that code in the past I bit the bullet and replaced the fuel pump/filter/gas cap because they all needed to be replaced anyways. I reset the ECU and the code didn't return after that.

could it also be a bad fuel filter? and what would the gas cap have anything to do with? not trying to be smart, just trying to figure out whats wrong with my damn car...

another Q...does the tank have to be dropped to remove the fuel pump? or can you take it out through the access hole under the back seat?

Possibly, in fact I would replace the filter first since it's probably the cheapest.

As for the gas cap, if a cap isn't sealing good it will leak and effect pressure in your fuel system causing some issues...if the filter doesn't fix it then my next part would be a oem fuel cap then a fuel pump. Typically with a fuel pump it either works or it doesn't which leads me to believe it's cap or filter.

You can get to the gas tank service cap by removing the rear seat, theres 1 10 ml bolt holding the seat. Its to the driverside of the seat belt bracket, just reach in there, you'll feel it, once u take that out, just 2 hooks and it should be no problem. The fuel service cap is just a couple of screws or 10 ml's i forget, and then theres another cap, with this, its most likely rusted bolts with sand or salt deposts from 4123541 years of driving in canadian weather (for me i guess lol), if u want to be brave use a heating torch, if u want to live and see another day, just spay em with liquid wreanch and go watch a ep of south park. you dont want to skip this because the rusted 10 mls will snap no problem, trust me. after you'll be able to slide out the whole fuel pump assy.

I still have the code 43 problem, i changed my fuel pump 2 a walbro, fuel filter, the regulator i gotta b&m, the o2 sensor and still doesnt work, so i came to the conclusion that its either injectors or god's just toying with my ***.
