Default ITR as daily driver

Hey everyone. Dont own an ITR and was just wondering what your thoughts are on driving it everyday. Is it annoyingly loud on the inside? Is the suspension to stiff so that it makes for a really rough ride?

Im looking to get one soon and I am going to be taking it to the track for roadcoursing but I also wanna drive it around day to day.

Thanks

I daily drive mine. We've had six straight weeks of rain so mine is completely covered in mud. I'll have to take a picture of it.

I kind of wish the suspension wasn't so stiff, but that is a choice I made in going aftermarket. Sometimes I wish it was a little quieter.

Thanks neo but that threads dealing more with theft of the ITR. I live in Canada and theft in my area is pretty uncommon. Im more interested in drivability, ride quality.

It has nothing to do with the performance of the car, but rather the presence of thieves.

It's just a car, and plenty civilized to drive everyday. A/C, power steering and an o.k sound system. If theft is not a problem in your area, no reason not to drive it every day.

I've daily driven mine for 5 years now.

It's louder than most stock cars inside, but not unbearable. I've had stock suspension for 4 years, and a stiffer suspension for the last year, and it is no problem on the street.

The reputation the ITR has as being too uncivilized for a daily driver is mostly hype, IMO.

If it's your DD, make sure you get one with A/C.

I've daily driven mine through rain, sleet, snow, etc. Just make sure you get good snow tires and you'll be set.

Comfort wise, it's not as plush as a regular integra or any other car, but by no means a harsh ride like some other cars(see Lotus Elise). It actually makes for an enjoyable commute.

(Same five years here, still stock suspension.)

mine is daily driven as well.. as long as you keep an extra watch and care of where you park and have the gf drive her ride to mall or the club theres not much to worry about
its just a caR afterall

although i still think I'm gonna get another EK beater in a few years, even though it was slow as bawls.. just because I loved having zero paranoia

I enjoy mine as a daily driver. A little stiff sometimes, and if you have an exhaust the ride can get annoying after the novelty of how nice the new exhaust is (6 months maybe?). I love the hell out of mine, but my T1R exhaust(even with silencer) is kind of annoying sometimes

I daily drove mine for 2 years and enjoyed pretty much every minute of it. As long as I didn't need to go shopping at say a mall or to the movies, etc or any time I'd need to leave it unattended for more than 10 minutes.

My black one had few issues with negative attention. My yellow one on the other hand grabbed the attention of just about every ricer looking for a ghey street race and any cop looking to follow and harass or fill out a ticket for just about nothing.

Besides the threat of theft though it's a very practical fun car to drive daily. I personally did not like driving it in the snow once I did the 4.9 final but prior to that with a new set of Blizzaks I had no issues in the snow.

As a DD for fun factor I give it a 10 out of 10. Practicality I give it a 7 out of 10 only because I couldn't park it anywhere I wanted when I wanted to but otherwise it swallowed loads of **** and got great gas mileage.

I love driving my ITR daily, yes it has aftermarket suspension and a different exhaust but its still nice to drive.
However my EK9 was a bit herder to cope with DDing it.OHLINS suspensio is not meant for the rough streets in New Zealand, not much torque either.

It's a lot more comfortable than my hatchback as a daily driver.

Been daily driving mine for nearly eight years. Plan to daily drive it for as long as I can.

Interior noise has never been a problem for me, even with an AEM CAI or an Icebox. Exhaust has always been stock.

With Bilsteins, stock springs, eight-year-old stock bushings and either 195/55-15's or 205/50-15's, I don't find the suspension the least bit uncomfortable. I'd actually like to stiffen it up a little.

Short answer: it's a great daily driver
