seat pan swap (search doesn't cover this)
Before any of you tell me anything about searching, I'v done it. It came up with 20 topics... 3 of which were informative. Now that I have that out of the way here is my delema.
I recently bought a civic hatch (SI) seat and wanted to swap it into my 89 crx hf. Now, As i removed both seat pans I noticed that the seat pan is different itself. The mounting points are the same, but the pan itself is different.
Anyone want to help me out on this? even the pivot point from the bottem cusion to the middle cusion isn't even in the right spot.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Pics will be up shortly.

Best Pic i could do. if u noticed, the bottem portion of the seat cusion is way different than the other, besides the middle.

I had the same issue and just razor'd the foam so the pan would go in, I have no issues with my seat

do u still got pics of the original JDM pan? Its not that it doesn't line up, its now on the outside instead of the inside of the seat. Thus, the pivot point on the seat pan is now about 3" off from where it was suppost to be.
The hatch back seats are mounted on the inside of the seat instead of the outside like the crx ones. so... unless someone can prove me wrong, hacking the foam won't work cause it will still be 3" off no matter what. Make sense? i'll try and find some hatch seats vs crx ones.

(Pic from Japjunky, thanks)
This shows the pic of where the pivot point is on the hatch backs.

In this pic you posted, the pivot point is right on the corner of the seat pan (top right), you just can't see it, it's there.
I'll try and find a better crx pivot picture.

As long as it's HB seats in a HB and CRX seats in a CRX the SiR badge should not matter, I know that the HB seats are way off for the REX though since I tried that myself when building my CRX.

This part should be in the faq aswell. I figured out how to do it. You have to weld no matter what.
Hatch back seat to crx seat
Now, for the how to:
(Hatchback)
Remove the rails
Remove the metal rings
Remove the bottem cushion
Remove the metal rivots on the pivot point
Remove pivot point mount
(Crx)
Remove the rails
Remove the metal rings
Remove the bottem cushion
Add pivot point mount and weld on
