after getting tired of waiting for some azenis, i finally decided on getting some so3's. well today i was bored so i called discount tire..and what do ya know they got em in stock..yep 205-50-15...i was stunned.lol..the guy said we only have five more sets...whatever he probably said that just so he could sell more tires...some of you may already know they have them, but i figured i would look out for all the other h-t members

they are 22 pounds each tire for a 205/50/15 setup.

i just got mine in the mail.
not from discount tires, but somewhere else. it came out to be 282 dollars. (2 dollars more than discount tires)

Suprdave,
how much longer r u gonna give them? I think im going to wait until the 15th, and if the other places still have them in stock im buying elsewhere.

I called discount tires today too, and they do have the Azenis in stock!!!
When I asked them how much is it to ship it to Canada, they told me $200usd, so it will be $480usd shipped for a set and I will have to pay duty and tax on top of that. So I said screw it, I will just get the A032R locally for cheaper!!

To those that have the Azenis (particularly on their ITR), how loud are they compared to stock tires? My car is decent on the highway (stock exhaust, AEM, stock tires) but a friend of mine with an SI and potenzas (can't remember which model, not the same as the ITR's stock ones though) are really really loud on the highway - it's like this whir-whir-whir sound or something, very annoying. Someone I met at an autocross a couple weeks ago said they were a "little noisey" compared to the Kumho's he had on before, but not bad, and he had just got them.
What do you all think?
thanks!

I just put a set of Bridgestone S-03s on my car a week ago. I have been nothing but amazed by them so far. They are dead quiet. They are amazing in the dry. And they gripped so well in heavy the rain last week that I swear they are in violation of the laws of physics. Best rain tire ever. They will be put through their paces at the autoX on Saturday.
For those who care, the S-03s are a pretty heavy tire. I have them in 215/45/17, and they weighed nearly 24lbs each... 10lbs more than my 13.9lb. wheels
The weight is probably due to the super-stiff sidewalls.

I called them about a week or two ago, and one guy on the phone said I could see some in a week, the other said it would be about two months. Due to their level of uncertainty between each other, I opted to purchase them from somewhere else(jdmhondaparts) at an increased price, but I got them right away.
So
for me paying more for something I could have gotten a week later, but how was I to know

That sounds exactly like what I have gone through for the last two months. I had been calling every week for a month, then finally gave up, thinking I would get either the stock RE010's (love that tire$$$) or something else. I checked the internet last night and saw them in stock, called this morning and picked myself up a set of V-rated Azenis too.
Guy said they'd be here in 8 days.
FYI, only one of the shipping centers on the internet (AZ) had them in stock, everyone else was out.

I actually think they're quieter than the RE010's.
These are sticky too.
A little (very little) bit softer sidewall than the RE010, but still, well within my range of tolerance (and I am VERY picky about tires on my R).
I got the Khumo Ecsta Supra 712's not too long ago and after about 200 miles (one weekend) I sold them to a friend because they made my car handle like a mini van.
Love those Azenis.
I should have gotten two sets!!!

If you are worried about noise - go buy some ******* Michelin all-weather crap. You bought a sports car - Use it
