Here are the important details: my friend sucked some water up through his CAI and hydrolocked his B18C1. Since it was being handled by insurance, a new motor was quoted and he of course took it. The motor was never opened up to gauge the exact damage. When it was replaced, he bought a B18C1 longblock from Hmotors and so the auxiliary things were carried over. The motor is otherwise fully intact and may just be in need of a minor rebuild. The mileage is 100k, but as it will be sold for rebuilding purposes I suppose that's not so important. For reference, the hyrdolocking occurred by rolling through a 6 inch puddle at under 20mph and under 3.5krpm. Trying to restart it resulted in a grinding noise, so the car was towed to the Acura dealership. Trying to start it was the only check the dealership did. Most likely this is an easy rebuild.
If you're looking to build a motor for cheap, this is probably a good opportunity. It's located in Rochester, NY and pickup is preferred. Don't PM for shipping quotes just to entertain the idea of possibly buying it. If you NEED this motor and you need it shipped, PM me.
Make a somewhat reasonable offer!
If you're not going to bother opening up the engine, I don't see how anyone is going to do anything but "lowball" you on the price. The damage could be minimal, but again, it could be major. It's like buying a lottery ticket... but anyway... who wants to overpay for a damaged engine. If it's worse that they guess it to be, your out will be that you're selling it "as is".

Interesting, I could've sworn I said "taking offers" and I'm also pretty sure I never said there was such a thing as "lowballing" in this case. Please feel free to give me a free bump by explaining how someone would be "overpaying" when you don't even know what the offers I'm getting and considering are.

What's funny is that's what my friend listed it for a Team Integra, but I figured I would throw it up here and take offers instead.
BTW everyone- the leading offers is $350 picked up and he wants it on Saturday, so if you're serious you've gotta make a better offer ASAP. $350 is a good offer so we won't be holding out for more money; it'll be sold Saturday unless there's a better offer.

Alright everybody, the leading offers are now $600 shipped and $350 picked up. I've gotta go to work now, but we plan on closing this by tomorrow, so make your final offers and I'll get back to you tonight or tomorrow morning.
