installed my short shifter on my DA and it hits the heat sheild really hard... Wouldanything happen if I remove the heat shield?

 

nope. you can remove it. youll be fine.

 

That heat shield was a bitch to mess with, I know what you mean. Niether my CRX or my 91 HB had the shield when I put short shifters in them so I was pissed!I put mine on in my moms back yard on the cold concrete trying to race the sun before it went down. When it was done it rubbed so hard it would not shift, I tried to bend it or something and finally said Fuuk it!
I took off my heat sheild 2 years ago ... No problems so far.
