Default Mods for my Civic

Just wondering what you guys had in mind for some cheap mods for my 00 civic SI. I dont care what the body looks like too much so exterior mods are useless to me. I want to turbo it but not too sure. Wondering what i can get out of it without forced induction. Any good mods that i could either do myself or get for cheap would be terrific.. About a $1000 dollar limit is what i got now. I just dont want to spend it all just in case. Any advice would be terrific thanks.

intake/header/exhaust, that should be close a grand right there, and your best mods if you want to keep it NA.

I believe the guy before me had some mods already done but basically stripped it when he sold it. It had a turbo seeing as to the hole cut in the front bumper and screw holes for the tri-gauges he had on the pillar. It currently has an apexi n1 style muffler, skunk 2 intake manifold, msd ignition, lowered with tokicos (not much for motor but looks good) some off brand pos intake that goes from waaaaa to BAAAAA when vtec kicks in, and a new coil with some fireball cap. Not sure if thats it because havent had time to take it all apart. I havent decided to keep it NA yet so i didnt want to do to much with the exhaust or manifold at all. I was thinking vtex contoller and maybe a new throttle body dont know that much about it all. Main reason for asking is just that.

that made my night thank you

but it sounds like its off to a good start...as for throttle bodie i wouldn't really mess with it until you do decide which way you're going with you engine...as for the vtec controller...well some say its good, some says its bad to mess with it....

Yeah, I'm one to say it won't do much for you because it only changes the cam lobes, not the fuel or ignition maps.

I think you should decide what route your going to go with the car. If you're staying NA get a set of headers and cams, if you're going to go turbo don't waste money on headers and just save up for the turbo kit.

First things first, you need to decide if you're going Turbo or NA. Then its time to worry about how to spend your money. Figure out what you want the car for and then build it accordingly.
