Default chip or replace this ecu without bottom end build?

While I have an Apexi VAFC awaiting install for tuning purposes, I'm wondering if modding my ECU, or replacing it, to provide a higher redline would:

A. be worth it
B. not destroy my stock bottom end
C. what would a safe new redline be if answer to first two questions is "yes" and "yes".

I have done zero research on this topic, as of 9:37pm, besides what little I learned when I looked into LS/VTEC.

redline is 6500, mods below:

Engine: 91 Integra LS B18A, 151,000 miles

Crower 404's (Stage 3) with Crane springs/retainers
JG 62mm bored Throttle Body
Blox Intake Manifold
DC Sports 4-2-1 Header
2 1/4" custom catback
Magnaflow Sport Series muffler
CAI
MSD Cap, Blaster 3 Coil, and plug wires
Clutchmaster 7.5# flywheel
AEM lightened pulley set
AEM Adjustable Cam Gears
AEM FPR/Fuel Gauge
Apexi VAFC
Dyno

you need to rebuild your bottom end. trust me you will be able to rev higher and longer safely. it will be costly to do it but in the end you will be happy

It's not That special, you won't need an MSD setup on it.

If you do no serious internal work, atleast get arp rodbolts, and headstuds.

thanks, I don't think I'm doing any bottom end work on this car.........once this engine dies I'll probably do a swap for something with much higher stock hp, H22 or something, haven't looked into that at all because its so far down the road. I might look into increasing the redline on my ls to 7000 to just have that extra 500 without trashing the engine, thanks for advice peeps.
