timing belt
i want to buy this one integ but the car is at 115k with the original timing belt. the lady convinced that the timing belt isnt suppose to be replaced until 160k. lol. do you guys think there is any damages done yet? its a clean title 96 LS wit 115k miles for only $2800.
I replaced mine at 96,000. If the belt hasn't broken, or failed to function as it was intended to then I would imagine there are no problems with the motor. However, get it changed ASAP.
if i can get a 96 LS for 2,800 clean, i would jump on it if its around here. a timing belt/wtr pump job isnt that hard if you have the right tools. even if you bought that 96 ls for 2.8, + 400 for a t-belt job, its still a great deal, since its 3,200 for a LS and you can drive it for another 90k before you do the belt again.
