Exedy twin disc slippin??
Ok I think my clutch is slipping for sure. I thought it was from a small leaking master cylinder, but its not. All Ive done was run this on the dyno and made about 30 full pulls, all the other pulls were short misfies that i finally figured out. Well, when I graphed my low boost pull 15psi (rpm vs mph) the mph gradually goes up linear and makes 408hp. Then when i cranked up the boost it would pull forward like it was making a bunch more power, but make about the same amount of power as low boost(around 400hp and 250ft lbs). So i said wtf!!! and then went back and plotted rpm vs mph and sure enough mph was curving down. Wth can this be?? Ive asked alot of people about the clutch and they think its very unlikely its the clutch, and im like 99.99% sure the tires arent slippin on this thing. Dyno dynamics dyno is the dyno being used.
Dyno Dynamics is a very nice dyno but 2-3 years ago when I had my 300whp b20 setup I couldnt get the pos to hook on that dyno. Hell we had 18psi in the tires and 5 straps up front, plus in the rears we even jacked the car up to get more clicks on the straps in front and it still slipped the tires. Since then I use dynojet only and never had any problems.
Plus not to be mean but your car doesnt make the torque to kill a twin disk doing a dyno pull unless you got bad disks or something. I didnt spin my old ACT 6-puck at 411 torque to the wheels on the dyno but slicks are another story hahaha.
