Will an ls throttle body fit on an A6 intake manifold or will I need the y8 or z6???

Default Will an ls throttle body fit on an A6 intake manifold or will I need the y8 or z6???

Help a fellow civic owner out.I can get a deal on a y8 if thats what I need cause right now I got an a6.Thanks

it will fit on the a6. a b series tb will fit on most d series intake manifolds. just need to bore out the manifold so its the same size as the tb or else you just wasted time for nothing.

yup I got an b18a TB on my y8 intake mani right now and it is money because you can use the stock map sensor

IIRC B-series will not fit OBD0 intake manifold though. I'm pretty sure the A6 mani has a different mounting flange than a Y8.

Thats what I was thinking!! If anyone knows for sure please chime in,I need correct info though.I do think the mounting points on the A6 are different,anybody???

Yes they are different, I thought they were the same but there was a thread about this a week or so ago. The MAP is different too, non-OBD0 manis have it on the throttle body, OBD0 on the firewall.

Doesn't matter, you can use either map sensor, it'll work fine.

No extra nipple for it on OBD1 manis though, unless you ditch the canister, which should be done anyway.

92-00 Motors (D/B/H) All share the same mounting flange for TB. Before I get yelled at, 90-91 B TBs also share the same flange.

i tried using my z6 t/b on my a6 mani and it diditn fit the studs didint line up with the holes

as for the b-series t/b im not sure

Is there anyway I can bore out a couple of the mounting holes?? I would imagine as long as it's pulled tight to the manifold it wouldn't really matter,anybody done this????
