DC5R steering wheel on a DC2 possible?
I'm getting a sweet deal on this wheel and I'm not sure if it will fit. Instinct lately tells me no lol.

The only way I can see is to modify the hub. I would cut the splined part of the hubs off and weld the DC2 splines to the DC5 wheel. But what do I know, I think outside the box.

i have the 05 rsx steering wheel and i tried to put it on my dc2 and it didnt fit. i think it will fit 96+ civic because my friend has a s2k steering wheel on his civic and i tried to put that on my car and it didnt fit. so may be if you switch the integra steering colum with civic, it might work. but i am not 100% sure.
i believe that is the only way as it was done in a search that the only way is to get an ek (96-00) steering column to mate the dc5 steering wheel.
i'd love to have that wheel myself as well or even ep3 (ctr) wheel.

Can the hub on the steering wheel be changed?
The apocryphal eBay personality JAPAndy once found me an unusual Momo Honda Access wheel that I wanted to put on my DC2, and the only one he could find required him to switch the hub with one from some kind of Civic.
It must have been easy because he didn't charge for it.

Don't blow up the airbag!!
When putting the DC5 ITR wheel on a DC5 Type S or EP3 Si, you have to switch the deployment relay. I have no idea how you'd get that to work w/a DC2, or even if you can.
Also be aware, if you have never driven a DC5 or EP3, that the things that attract you to these wheels, namely the size and the easy-to-find palm bolsters, can make the car very annoying if the alignment is off and the wheel is even slightly off centre.

The hubs should be interchangeable like the CTR and DC2ITR, they might intercahnge with each other DC2 hub verse DC5 hub, but I have no clue. I got scammed and was sold a CTR wheel thinking it was an ITR wheel, needless to say I had to find a ITR hub.
you need an EK steering column then you can use the DC5 steering wheel. unless you want to cut off the splined section of your column and weld on that of an EK or another DC5.
Here is an idea. Buy that wheel and a non srs wheel for a dc2. Swap the hubs. And sell the non srs wheel as a CTR wheel. You could even make a buck considering the non srs CTR wheel is hard to come by. Switching steering columns is just crazy.

That's if the hubs are interchangeable between the DC2 and DC5.

yeah the other alternative is to cut the stock dc2 hub and re-weld it to the dc5 hub.
hey mr. knighton i believe you don't have to do anything to the airbag itself on the dc2 and jdm dc5/ep3 steering wheel due to its single stage airbag. i believe the usdm counterpart is dual stage and thats the reasoning behind it.
i remember reading this on a rsx board. but i could be wrong so dont' quote me on it.

The only problem with welding the USDM to the JDM is that the JDM hub is cast. I'm not too familiar with welding, but I dont think you can weld cast? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. You could use JB weld but it doesnt hold up that well.....
Ask me how I know

It would bolt right up. But I would research what GK was talking about before you attempt something like that.

The wheel hub will bolt up right onto the s2000 shaft, however, I'd very careful with plugging up the airbag with the harness that comes off the JDM airbag/steering wheel!
