i posted this before but i got no answers. i know someone did this swap before. ok, well my friend has a 97 civic DX 5spd, and the motor is on its way out. i just picked up a complete z6 swap and told him id sell it to him for the price i paid. anyway i just wanna clarify a few things and ask a few questions about this swap. any and all help is appreciated. first the motor is obd1 and the car is obd2. i have a obd2-1 conversion harness left over from my h22/accord swap. will this work? i know ill have to run wires to the ecu for vtec. is there any other wires that would need to be added? can/should i use the 97 dx engine harness. will it need to be modified. i now that the eg didnt have a resistor box but im am unsure if the ek does. does it? and if so what do i do? what about motor mounts? which ones do i use? ek or eg? or combo? which axles do i use? how about exhaust fitment? isnt the cat on the manifold in the ek? is there a cat i can use underneath that will bolt right up? what dist. do i use? thats all the questions i can come up with for now. hopefully someone did this exact swap and can shed some light. again thanx in advance for all ur help.

yeah but how many dealt with the y7/z6 swap smartass? none. ive searched and there doesnt seem to be much. any one with some real information? thanx
