Troubleshooting OEM cruise control.
My cruise control stopped working...and I'm having a very difficult time diagnosing the problem.
The cruise control switch light will come on, but when I go to set the cruise speed it never engages and the gauge cluster indicator never lights up.
I checked all the wiring and it's all in tact and in the right spot. You could tell me to check the fuse, except the cruise control system doesn't have it's own fuse. I don't know why.
Can anyone with an OEM manual tell me if there's a cruise control troubleshooting flow chart?
Or give me an idea as to what the problem usually is with these?

Heres a few things you can check. I have a 90 LS Integra with the same problem. If you follow the clutch, brake, and gas pedal up to the top there should be a little rubber/plastic plug that basically lets the car know that you don't have any of these pushed in and will set cruise. If you are missing it then you need to replace it from either a junkyard or honda. If thats not it one of your steering wheel switches may not be making full contact. This is the problem mine is having. You'll have to take the switch off and clean the contacts. There may be other issues but these are easy to check and are free.
