Brakes Squeeking
I've owned Honda products for over 15 years. The brake rotors on my '03 Acura RSX-S are the worst I've ever seen as far as light rusting is concerned.
I just went through a similar episode like you are experiencing. I thought the pads were worn down to the wear indicator. Turns out there was plenty of meat left. I took the pads out of the calipers and gave the whole assembly a real good cleaning. No squeals since.

Yes, the brake grease is a dark grey, and very gooey, it's like vaseline almost. If it helped for a little bit, the white lithium probably has burned off. try a little sand paper on your rotors and pads, and then some brake cleaner.
teh back !!!! dont grease up the actual pad, then your car will have greatly reduced stoppign ability.
pretty much, dont get any grease on the pad surface (part that presses against rotor) or hte rotor, and grease the rest of it up

so i work for just brakes and what sounds like is going on is over heating. after about 30k the fluid in the system starts to go bad, that's why we recommend you flush it every 30 or once a year. the pads git like a mirror effect and that causes the the squeak. so to fix it u have to rebuild or replace the the calipers. rebuild is cheaper and replace the hardware and pads. but if u do not want to replace pads u can just sand them till u git a thin layer off. apply brake greas to the part of the pad that rides on the hardware only a thin layer though. that will fix the squeak and prolong the life of ur brakes
