remember tho, your 98 is OBD 2, and the B18c is OBD 1 , you just have to get the conversion harness

Actually OBD-II started in 1996, so the 96-97 B18C R will be OBD-II as well.

Nice when did you learn english, better yet, who cares that you have a "import model" gf?

Oh and to Actually answer a question, IF the engine was obd1, you wouldn't need a conversion harness, just to swap around some parts on the engine.
You said the chassis is a gs right, and the engine going in will be either a gsr, or type-r ?

im not sure.. now cuz this is the spot where im gon get the engine from..
http://teknotik.com/product_se...id=39 this is the gsr... one..
http://teknotik.com/product_se...id=46 this is the TYPE R.
and the engine for the gsr is a 94-96 edition and im sure that one comes with the OBD1 and my car is OBD2 so it would a better idea to just drop the type r engine that comes withthe OBD2...
wat do u think????

Sounds like they're a lil off with years.

Pretty much the only reason I can think of that you would Need a conversion harness,
is if you Kept odb1 pieces on the engine and still used the obd2 ecu,
But it's small things, such as the alternator, dizzy, and usually injectors.

Those are just small things to look over, it's more of how Much you wanna spend,
That type-r is about 3k more then the gsr, I guess 2ish if you get the gsr package deal.
But still, a considerable difference, with that left over 2k you'd have you could about piece together a turbo, or complete suspension.

Decide on what you Actually want to get, and then see what else you need after that.

well i i wanted the type R.. but too much money and then the installation for it..
its pretty much gon leave me broke.
so im gon stay with the gsr.. i love the hp and the tourque on it.. no to mentioned that it can be modified later on.. to match the type r mods 2..
so im sticking to the gsr
and like u sd with the rest of the money comes some goodies..
thankx bro.

good call man, Teknotik is a great place. i would also lean towards the gsr for the price cuz you can make it as fast as a type r in no time
