My speedo cable was making loud chirping noises. it wa sobviously going bad... no amount of lude would make it stop. wd40 made it worse. anyways im goin to replace it .... but i went to drive the car today and it wasnt making the chirping noises and the speeddo wasnt moving. then the check engine light came on. does this sound normal? im assuming its ok cuz the cable probly stopped working all together. car runs fine... actually it may be my imagination, but it runs even smoother. .... thoughts?

 

its probably running a vss code. Just replace the speedo and you should be good to go and reset the ecu and there should be no more cel.

gsr cluster conversion anyone? i have an extra laying around. also i have a good cable and good vss if you need em.
