Default JDM non-VTEC D15B carb cam: is it anything special vs a USDM DX cam?

I'm currently putting together a motor for my brother's 1989 Civic. And although a B-series swap might by MY way of doing things, he is more interested in low cost and fuel economy than performance. However, he would appreciate as much as he can get. So I was just wondering whether the JDM D15B non-VTEC carb cam is better than the USDM DX cam as far as performance (I happen to have one lying around). Or are they pretty much the same thing?
