Default wiring gurus needed

im in the process of doing a wire tuck and im wondering would it be all right to use thicker wire than what Honda used originlay

depends on what wiring you are wanting to do? I think most of hondas wiring is generally between 14-16g wiring and goes as low as 18g. There isn't really a need to make it say 10-12g but if you do it won't hurt at all. The voltage will generally stay the same going through the wires.

Won't hurt a thing if you go larger. The voltage will always be the same through any wire with no load on it. The current carrying capacity is increased with larger gauge wire. Just make sure you don't do half-assed connections, unless you want a whole basket full of trouble.
