it would make it faster of course. That motor was never intended to rev high and most people I know don't prep the block for high revs resulting in a blown block and I have even seen a really stupid guy drive his so hard he broke the crank in HALF!! unbelievable IMO. The B20 can be nice but it will cost alot to make it rev friendly and that of course is what makes hondas so fun. The LS will be a little better for revs (but not by alot) but all in all a B16 or B18C is your best bet even though it is much more money it is much more worth it in the long run. You can always go with a B18B or B20 bottom end with a vtec head, tranny and ECU but again you need deep pockets. the options are endless and if you just search you will find all the info and specs you need, you may be flamed for posting such a common and general question like this....I am actually suprised I did not flame you, I guess your lucky I am in a good mood

Basically the block can be good but you will need alot of work like I said before, $70.00 bucks sounds like a killer deal. I say go with a full B16 swap (OBD 0 will be the cheapest and easiest) that way you will have everything you need to go frankenstein when you have the funds available. If you build it right you will have a Hella fast NA setup and you WON'T be dissapointed. you gotta pay to play though.
