Hey All, Got Some Metal Questions
hey everyone,
ive started on my shaving the hatch project
this morning i used an assortment of tools and got the license plate area off, PICS COMING SOON,
it has some surface rust on the bottom that im not worried about,
and some rust inside now that i think is easy surface rust.
my question is , is there any type of product i could buy that could help me other than just sanding away.
also what type of paint can i spray inside to prevent rust from occuring so it doesnt rust again.
then i plan on welding a piece of sheetmetal over, make it nice n smooth and VERY little body filler to help smooth it out, also is there a way of some how reinforcing the body filler i know ill only use very little, but just to be sure it doesnt crack, then primer and paint, thanks PICS COMING SOON

Go to your auto parts store and you should find a rust inhibitor. It's usually in a white bottle. The solution is a purple color. Once the material is clean and free of rust got to a paint store and find a product called veri prime. This is called a selfetching primer is will seal the metal before you prime. The body filler can't really be reinforced unless you use something called kitty hair. That is only generally used in larger areas though. Hope this helps.
